The download and installation of the PRINT SMART Data Collection Agent (DCA) takes under 5 minutes, and our technical support team will walk you through the initial setup. From then on, the DCA runs as a Windows® service in the background, operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

After each discovery, the collected data will be sent to Laser World's secure webserver. This allows us to continuously monitor your printing environment remotely, without disrupting your business.

The DCA uses one-way communication; two-way communication can be enabled for automatic updates only. No personal or user data is collected. The collected data is sent via Port 443, Port 80, or Port 21 to the web server.

System Requirements:

Hardware: Desktop computer system powered on 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (does not have to be a dedicated system)

Operating System: Windows 2000, Windows XP, or Windows Server 2003

Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 installed

Network Card: 100mbit or higher (system must have only one network card)

RAM: 256MB or higher

Internet connected browser

Network Requirements:

TCP/IP configured

Network Ports must be open for transmission of collected data. Port 443 (HTTPS) is the preferred method although Port 80 (HTTP) and Port 21 (FTP) is an option.
